Residents of munyole zone, Kisoko Sub-county in Tororo District have been thrown into shock after a resident they thought had died of COVID-19 came back home.
Charles Ogola also known as “Obwaga” through his friends two weeks ago called his family claiming he had died of COVID-19.
The friends demanded from the family UGX 1.3M that the community and family struggled to raise for buying coffin and transportation by an ambulance from Kampala to Tororo.
After sending the money the friends directed the family to dig a grave and few people should be around the Obwaga’s home .
The friends went silent for two days and as the family waited for their son to bury, to their surprise a private car arrived carrying Ogolla though he had COVID-19.
The parish chairperson Charles Olweny put him in an isolation unit leaving the residents puzzled on how to cover the grave they had dug and the loses made during planning for the burial preparations.
